从了解《残疾人权利公约》开始
什么是联合国《残疾人权利公约》？2006年联合国制定了一项条约叫《残疾人权利公约》，英文缩写为CRPD。许多国家签署了《残疾人权利公约》。《残疾人权利公约》中阐述了国家保障残障人享有与其他人平等的权利的一些措施。
What is the UNCRPD? In 2006, the United Nations made a treaty. The treaty is called United Nations Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities, UNCRPD for short, many countries have become part of the UNCRPD ,the UNCRPD talks about how countries should make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights as others.
例如国家要确保残障人士能够独立生活，也就是说残障人士能自主在社区里生活。
For example, countries should make sure that people with disabilities can live independently. This means that they should be able to live on their own within the community.
国家要为残障人士构建无障碍的环境，作出改造与调整，让残障人士能够使用，例如提供手语或使用浅白语言。
Countries should make things accessible to people with disabilities. This means changing things, so people with disabilities can use them. For example, by using sign language or by using easy language.
国家要确保残障人能自己做决定，也就是说他人不能替残障人做决定。
countries should make sure that people with disabilities can make their own decisions. This means that no one else should make these decisions for them.
国家要确保残障人能够获得医疗保健，在安全的环境里生活。
Countries should also make sure that people with disabilities have access to health care and can live in safety.
对于包括心智障碍人士在内的残障人士来说，《残疾人权利公约》都是非常重要的，残障人士可以用《残疾人权利公约》来呼吁人们尊重残障人的权利。
The UNCRPD is very important for people with disabilities. This includes people with intellectual disabilities. People with disabilities can use the UNCRPD to make everyone respect their rights.
