什么是无障碍?无障碍是指能够获取某些东西,这意味着残障人士可以和其他人一样完成事情,这意味着残障人士被赋能并且能真正独立。无障碍权利是残障人士的一项基本人权,无障碍意味着残障人士可以和其他人一样,在同一个舞台上公平竞争,它提升我们的生活质量,让我们更独立也更好地融入社会。联合国《残疾人权利公约》指出:无论身在何方,人人都可以为确保环境无障碍出一份力,这种无障碍环境包括交通、信息、通信还有服务。

What is accessibility? Accessibility is being able to access something. It means that persons with disabilities can do similar things as someone does not have a disability. It means that persons with disabilities are empowered and can be independent. Accessibility is a basic human right for persons with disabilities. Accessibility means that they are on the same level playing field as everyone else. It improves our lives, create more independence and better social integration. The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities says we all have a part to play in ensuring accessibility to the physical environment to transportation, to Information and communication, as well as services, no matter where you are.

在包括交通便利在内的无障碍设施缺位的情况下看,需要训练有素的专业辅助人员为残障人士提供支持。

In the absence of accessible facilities, including transportation a trained personnel assistant is needed to assist a person with disability.

这儿有一些行之有效的方式可以确保工作场所的无障碍。

Some of the ways to ensure accessibility in the workplace are:

确保坡道的坡度不小于30度,这将便于轮椅用户进出,建议同时安装扶手并且修建宽敞的人行通道。门的宽度要超过一米,这将会方便轮椅进出。

Ensure you have a ramp with an incline of at least 30 °. This will allow for easy access and exit of persons in wheelchairs. It is advisable to have railings and wide walkways. Your doors should be over a meter in width to allow easy excess.

出入口处要贴有清晰的书面标识,同时需要指示牌指引办公室位置的路线。

Have clear written sign showing entry or exit points as well as a directory to show how you can locate an office.

确保有一台电梯给没法爬楼梯的人士使用。

Ensure you have an elevator for those that cannot use stairs.

和残障人打交道时,直接与本人沟通即可而不是仅仅与他们的照顾者、辅助人员或手语翻译交谈。

When you engage with a person with disability, engage directly with them. Do not speak to the caregiver or personal assistant or sign language interpreter.

当你在创建与残障人士分享的任何信息时,请确保这些信息简单易懂,并且需要有字幕。

When you create any Information that needs to be shared with persons with disabilities,ensure that it is simple and easy to understand with captions provided.

请务必记住,最重要的一点就是如果你要做出一些改变,必须去问问残障人士的看法,不要想当然。

The most important point to remember is that, if you are to make changes always ask persons with disability. Do Not Assume.
