When it comes to disability everyone has an opinion.

"Kerry, I never knew you were mental..."

She'll be very very lucky if she can stack boxes in a supermarket.

"He works with his lot..."

I went to the cafeteria , and I got a coffee and I was stopped by a women. And she said"Can I pay for you?" And I said"Well I've already got my caramel latte. So I'm OK, thanks."

My teacher said to me "Oh, you can't be an actor if you can't read."

The waiter came along handed my mother the menu and ask her did she want to read it to me or should he read it to me? I've got two degrees. I'm very capable of reading a menu.

She said " Let's be honest. here , you're not dyslexic. You just went to a large state comprehensive school and had a very bad education."

Disability is not the same as inability.

I've represented my country at an international level.

My mind thinks outside of the box.

I've got a BA Honours in Humanities.

Industrial Engineering

Social psychology

I then pursued my Masters.

Then I did a postdoc in London.

Often times, other people put the disability ahead of the person.

I would go into an interview and need to seriously outperform the people that I was up against.

Difference ,it's just a difference. We are all human.

Basically you treat disabled people the way you would treat anybody else.

I think of myself as a regular person, who help dream, who has ambitions, who happens to have a disability.

"What do I call a disabled person? How do I refer to them?" You call them by their name, ideally. You know?

Invalid opinions haven't held these people back professionally. But such opinions do hold back millions of people globally from entering and progressing in the workplace.

You opinion matters . Make sure it's valid.
