在职场中,我们会遇到各种各样的人,有人开朗,有人害羞,有人看资料看得很快,有人使用读屏软件,有人用手语与人沟通,还有人用轮椅代步……

构建融合领导力的几个小技巧


世界在飞速发展,然而我们却没有以同样的速度拥抱这个多元的世界。我们都是不同的,我们身上的差异可以带来不同的观点,并为创造创新做出贡献,这就是我们欢迎多种多样的人才,重视每一位团队成员的感受并构建融合型领导力的原因。

The world is evolving rapidly. Yet we're not embracing inclusion at the same pace. We're all different and our differences can generate various points of view and contribute to creativity and innovation. That's why at DuPont, we believe, an embracing diverse talent, valuing each member of our team and providing inclusive leadership.

我们身上的差异,能使我们更好地达成目标、实现宗旨,这会让每个人都能发挥潜能,在这方面我们已经取得了很大进步,但我们还要努力走得更远。

We can utilize our differences to better achieve our goals and objectives, So everyone can achieve their potential. We've made a lot of progress, yet we strive to go even further.

目前,仍有人在工作环境里找不到归属感。如果全球顶尖公司的董事会里只有20%的女性成员,我们就无法充分表达自己的想法。

There are still people working in environments where they feel as though they don't belong. We can not all contribute ideas if women only hold 20 % of seats in the boardrooms of top companies globally.

Unconscious bias in the workplace is just that unconscious. It occurs before we realize, and negatively shapes our assessments of people, especially when it comes to decisions, such as hiring, promoting and developing talent.

研究表明,崇尚多元化和包容性的团队不仅创新精神十足还会更投入,更富有创造力。在崇尚多元化的团队中,有35%的团队表现优于多元化程度不那么高的团队,而崇尚多元化的公司占领新市场的可能性要高出70%。

Research shows that diverse, inclusive teams are not only more innovative,they're also more engaged, and creative. 35 % of diverse teams outperform less diverse teams, while diverse companies are 70 % more likely to capture new markets.

无意识的偏见是微妙的,往往会带来无意识地排斥,但你有能力,从这一刻起,发挥影响力,并做出改变。

Due to its subtlety, unconscious bias leads to unintentional exclusion, but you have the ability to influence change right now.

敞开心扉,接受全新的做事方式,做个富有包容心的领导者, 例如,指导与你不同的人。把任务分配给其他人,而不只是你为解决某个问题或做某件事情而必找的人。在决定晋升人选的时候,想想谁已经做出了被你忽略的贡献。在会议期间,请害羞或内向的员工各抒己见。通过共进午餐结识与你不同的人。当你听到有人当着你的面发表不恰当或失礼的言论时,要大声批评。不要假设别人会给出怎样的回答。提问一些问题,以了解他人不同于你的看法。自我反省,觉察自己的偏见是否妨碍了你的发展。

Open yourself up to new ways of doing things to lead inclusively and for example: mentor someone who's different from you. Give an assignment to someone other than your normal’ go to’ person. When promoting think about who's made contributions that you've overlooked. Ask the shy or introverted employee for input during a meeting. Get to know someone different from you by asking them to lunch. Speak up when you hear an inappropriate or disrespectful comments said in your presence. Don't assume the answer. Ask questions to understand points of you that are different than yours. Monitor yourself and observe when your bias is getting in the way.

行动起来,有意识地去包容每一个人吧!尊重差异,承担责任,拥抱各种可能性,不妨想象一下,你能产生多大的影响吧!

So commit to being consciously inclusive, respect differences, be accountable and embrace possibilities. Imagine the impact you can have.
