I love you way before you were born. Because of this love, your dad and I decided to take all risks to bring you to this world.

To my child who is slower than the rest: I love you. I wish to tell you that it is ok not to meet your milestones like the other kids. I wish to tell you that it is ok that you can't call us papa or mama. I wish to tell you that what matters as you have made progress every day rather than how much progress you are making. I am so proud that you are trying your best to do that.

致我那正慢慢成长的孩子：我爱你！你的成长不需要一直紧跟着其他小朋友的步伐，即使你一生都学不会叫爸爸妈妈也没关系，无论你的进步是明显的，还是微小的，只要你一直在进步，就足够了，只要你尽自己的最大努力去把事情做好，妈妈便为你骄傲。

To my child who is challenged in many ways: I love you!There are many times where I felt so exhausted and burned out taking care of you, dealing with your constant crying through the night,and your never ending tantrums and meltdowns as you grow. But this love I have for you it is so strong that it kept me through the darkest nights and most unbearable days when I felt like giving up.

致我那在很多方面受到挑战的孩子：我爱你！照顾你，花光了我所有力气，你总是在发脾气，似乎没有停下歇一歇的意思，多少次，面对整夜整夜哭个不停的你，我精疲力尽，感到自己快坚持不下去了，但这一切都不曾改变我对你的爱，它是那么强烈，每当我想要放弃时，它总能支撑我走过最难熬的时光。

To my child who is special: I love you! I remind myself every day that you are my greatest creation, even though you were not born to be perfect or healthy I want to thank you for teaching me so much about life. There are times where your condition took a turn for the worse I thought that I was going to lose you, But you never gave up fighting.You have such a strong will to live that I learn about courage from you. Thank you for teaching me that every day that I have is a blessing and I should not take it for granted. You also taught me what it takes to be patient to persevere and to have empathy. It is sometimes difficult for us to deal with the stares all the times when we bring you out, but in turn I learned how to be sensitive towards the feelings of others especially when they look and behave differently.

致我那特别的孩子：我爱你！我每天都会对自己说：你就是我这一生中最棒的创造！即使你从生下来的那一刻，就不是那么健康和完美，我仍然要感谢你，是你让我明白了生活的意义。很多次，当你的状况不太好时，我都以为自己要失去你了，但是你从未放弃过与病魔斗争，你的生命力是那么顽强，是你让我学会了勇敢。与你走过的那些日子让我觉得我就是被上天眷顾的那个人。是你让我懂得了感恩，是你让我变得更有耐心和同理心，让我懂得了坚持的意义。虽然，有时我们也会被带你出行时，遭遇到的异样目光而困扰，但我们也因此更懂得关注别人的感受，懂得去接纳那些看起来与我们不太一样的人。

To my child who is my everything: I love you for who you are and not who I expect you to be. I love you for your innocence and not your performance. I love you for the memories we share and not the milestones you could have achieved. I love you.you are my meaning and purpose in life and I wouldn't want things any differently. You came in a special package and you transformed us into the special parents we are today.Thank you my child for being the uniquely special.
